What a wonderful evening we had! We came here for my wife’s birthday and she loved everything! From the drinks to the entrees and everything in between, nothing was out of place. Highly recommend the squash with crab soup, the beet salad with the feta cheese and the filet or scallops. In terms of the dessert you HAVE to try the coconut layer cake or the vanilla bean crème brûlée. Huge shout out to Shannon V for being a wonderful server! Always attentive, super helpful, and just overall really friendly! Also, thanks to Judy for coming out and checking on us after our entrees, certainly made for a welcoming feel.
Daniel is the best, my meal was extremely delicious and his cooking is 5 stars and amazing. My sever Missy was very accommodating due to my diabetes and everything Danial made was 100% perfect. Johnathan, the new boss is very nice and cordial. Recommended very much. I sat at the server station and watch the staff and Danial work with perfection. Make your reservation soon.
We just celebrated our Easter family dinner here and it was an excellent choice. All of the staff were great, very friendly and attentive. I cannot say enough about the food. Everyone enjoyed their dinner choices. There were 12 of us. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience! Jo O’Brien
It was our first time here, and it will not be our last! The food was absolutely amazing, and Megan, our server, was excellent with her timing of the courses and her service. We started out with focaccia bread with olive oil, then the fig appetizer with gorgonzola, and for our entrees, my husband had the boneless short ribs, and I had crabcakes(I took home half the meal for the next day to save room for dessert). For dessert, we had chocolate mousse cake and the apple crisp with vanilla ice cream. The whole experience was well worth the price, and the drive.
Another Easter dinner at Judy's in the record books! The most delicious ham you've ever tasted. The best scalloped potatoes l have ever had, and amazing carrots and green beans, fresh! Not to mention the bread omg the bread and the best coconut cake in the universe! Thank you for having the best servers, the best menu for meat lovers and vegetarians and the best chefs! Always the freshest food and so consistent. Not sure if you know, but I drive an hour and a half just to get to your restaurant, and it is worth every minute!
Amazing gem. Amanda our server made our experience, great history details and conversation about the area and the building. The ambience was perfect. The food absolutely heavenly. The squash and crab soup is a must. Honestly you couldn’t go wrong with anything on the menu. The entire staff was enjoyable and accommodating.
My family has been coming to Judy’s for over 20 years, so I was honestly a little worried about how things might change under new ownership, especially without Judy working her magic in that tiny kitchen. I’m very happy to report that those concerns were unfounded. My wife was away on Friday night, and my oldest daughter wanted to celebrate a recent achievement at work, so we made a reservation and had a great evening together. The bread was as fantastic as ever, and we always end up ordering double orders because we love it so much. We shared a Margherita Pizza and the Enraged Penne Pasta with Chicken, and both were absolutely outstanding. My daughter also had a Cosmo that she said was excellent. It ended up being the perfect celebratory meal. As a bonus, we brought home some bread and pasta leftovers, which I’m already looking forward to enjoying for lunch! I know the restaurant recently took some heat on social media over the handling of gift cards, but don’t let that overshadow what really matters: this place is still a gem. The new kitchen team clearly knows what they’re doing, and Missy’s attentive service continues to make the experience special.
The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. I was immediately drawn to the art on the walls. There’s a sophistication to this restaurant but it still makes you feel at home. My small plate of the Housemade Focaccia Bread led to the Braised Lamb Shanks Osso Bucco entrée. Delicious. I’m looking forward to a return.
We picked this place as a last minute trip for a show in Reading. We were not disappointed! Our server was wonderful( sorry cant remember her name), very attentive and super efficient. The drinks were wonderful!! The food was so delicious!! I ordered the flounder and it was very flavorful but also very spicy, it had black pepper flakes on it which I didnt expect, and I dont do spicy so beware, but scraped them off. My husband had the short ribs and omg they were melt in your mouth delicious!! The atmosphere was super cozy! If we are ever back in Reading we def would visit again!
Had an amazing experience at Judy’s on Cherry. The food, atmosphere, and service were all top-tier. The waiters were incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, which made choosing my meal so much easier because everything looked amazing. I also loved the tablets they use to order. The pictures and videos of the dishes were such a nice touch and made the whole experience even better. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to!
